In 2015 at 19 she released her debut single, Here. The single garnered a lot of attention and was well-liked both by critics and listeners. In the Canadian Hot 100, and Billboard Hot 100, ranked it as 19. Even Rolling Stone called the track one of the Top Songs in 2015. In the same year, she released the album she titled Know It All, the song Scars to Your Beautiful ranked at the Billboard Hot 100 and Canadian Albums Chart Billboard 200. It was also one of the five original songs. In her Rap-Up Interview the listeners discussed Cara's struggle to find self-love as well as her fears. Cara's songs contain messages of love as well as self-love and mental wellbeing. Her music is a reflection of her personal struggle with insomnia and mental health. Reuters said that she described the album "half tumultuous, half perfected". She tells people that she found her growth through therapy. Alessia Cara was born to Italian parents on the 11th of July 1996. Her parents gave her a brand-new guitar that she was able to use to further develop her passion for the music. She started covering her favourite songs at age 13, to prove to everyone that she had the skills and the courage necessary to be the next singer. Sweater Weather was the most well-known cover. A record label, EP Entertainment, noticed her and allowed her to write songs.
