She released her debut single Here in 2015 at the age of 19 years old. The song received praise both from listeners and music critics. In the Canadian Hot 100, and Billboard Hot 100, ranked it as 19. Even Rolling Stone ranked the song as one of 2015's most memorable Songs. The same year she launched her first album Know It All, the single Scars to Your Beautiful ranked at the Billboard Hot 100 as well as the Canadian Albums Chart Billboard 200. The track was also among the first five songs. In her interview with Rap-Up fans discussed Cara's self-love journey and the doubts she faced. Cara's music often contains positive thoughts about mental health, and the importance of being self-love. Her inspiration for her music stems from her personal struggles to overcome mental health problems as well as insomnia. In a Reuters' interview, she's described her album as half-tumultuous but half perfected. The singer says that she experienced growth in therapy. Alessia Cara has been a Canadian musician since 1996. Her parents have Italian origin. She was given a guitar from her parents at the time she was 10, which ignited her passion for music. At the age of 13 she started covering her most loved songs on YouTube an important media platform in order to demonstrate to the world that she was talented and determination to develop into a professional singer. A cover of one of her songs, Sweater Weather, was what got her noticed. EP Entertainment gave her an opportunity to develop and write her own songs.
