Ariel Winter

Ariel Winter (born Ariel Winter Workman on Janurary 28th, 1998, located in Los Angeles California) is an American actor, singer, and vocalist. Ariel began her career in acting at an early age. The actress was in a Cool Whip ad when she was only six. When she was 7 she was offered her first television role on an episode of CBS's sitcom Listen Up! She followed up these with roles in shows like Monk Bones and ER. Gretchen appeared in Disney Original Channel's animated show Phineas and Ferb as of 2007. Her breakout part in live action was two years later in the role of Alex Dunphy of the hit television series Modern Family. Together with the cast in Modern Family she received the Screen Actors Guild Award in 4 different years as the the Best ensemble Comedy Series. Ariel continues to do voice acting, voicing characters such as ParaNorman CloudyWithAChanceOfMeatballsand Scooby-Doo! Stage Fright. Ariel is a purple belt in Taekwondo. She is the older sister of actors Shanelle Workman as well as Jimmy Workman. She sings a lot and is a member of the group WickedSweet. Additionally, she is involved with environmental organizations that promote sustainable living. In 2012, her sister applied for her appointment as guardian, citing that she was subjected to emotional and physical abuse by her parents. Shanelle was appointed Ariel's guardian for life in 2014.
